What are Advanced Settings in KTool?
Advanced Settings in KTool allow you to fine-tune your experience by adjusting notifications, article rendering options, and exploring new features. Found under the Settings menu, these options let you control how KTool delivers and displays content on your Kindle, ensuring it aligns with your preferences and device capabilities.
Configuring General Settings: Notifications and Renderer Options
The General tab in Settings is divided into two sections: Notifications and Renderer Settings. Here’s how to configure them:
Access General Settings:
Log in to your KTool account at ktool.io.
Click on the "Settings" menu on the left sidebar, then select the "General" tab.
Notifications: Choose How You Want to Receive Updates:
Delivery Notification: Enable this to get notified when KTool successfully delivers your articles to Amazon servers.
Delivery Failure: Enable this to receive alerts if KTool fails to deliver your articles, so you can troubleshoot any issues.
Renderer Settings: Customize How Articles Are Displayed:
Render Images: Check this box to include images from the source article in your Kindle document. Uncheck it if you prefer text-only articles to save space and speed up delivery.
Optimize Images: Enable this to convert images to grayscale, reducing file size for faster delivery and saving battery life on your Kindle.
Render Links: Check this to include clickable links in the article, allowing you to access external references directly from your Kindle. Uncheck to remove links for a distraction-free experience.
QR Codes for YouTube Videos: Enable this to generate QR codes for YouTube videos embedded in articles, so you can easily access them by scanning the code with your phone.
Feature Preview: ADHD Reader for Enhanced Focus
KTool also offers a Feature Preview section where you can try experimental tools like the ADHD Reader:
Access Feature Preview:
In the Settings menu, click on the "Feature Preview" tab on the left sidebar.
Enable ADHD Reader:
The ADHD Reader helps you read faster by highlighting the beginning of every word in the article. This visual aid improves focus and comprehension, especially for users with ADHD or those who struggle with sustained attention.
As shown in the preview, the left Kindle screen displays the original article, while the right screen shows the same article with the ADHD Reader effect applied, where the first few letters of each word are bolded.
